CCNY is pleased to announce an open call for applications for its Annual National Photography Competition. Photographers and photo-based artists working in any genre are eligible to apply.
Selected applicants will be featured in an exhibition at the CCNY gallery in the summer of 2010 and on the CCNY website. The first place selection will receive a $500.00 cash award.

Students work in private darkrooms or in our studio, with small class size to maximize hands-on experience. Registration for Spring 2010 has already begun, so please contact CCNY to insure a space. Please visit our Education page for more information.
Private Lessons
In addition to group classes, CCNY also offers private lessons. Students work one-on-one with the instructor in private darkrooms or our studio. Private lessons use a "Personal Trainer" approach to customize instruction to each student's goals, and are flexible to fit into a busy schedule.
Private lessons are available in Black and White and Color Printing, Digital Photography, Photoshop, Scanning, and Studio Lighting.

CCNY LECTURE SERIES |

The CCNY Lecture Series is presented in conjunction with SVA's BFA Photography Department. Admission is free for SVA students and staff and CCNY members, $3 for other students, and $5 for the general public.

Abby Robinson, a photo instructor at SVA, is an award-winning photographer whose work has been exhibited in the US, Europe and Asia. Recent projects have been done in conjunction with grants from the Asian Cultural Council, the Fulbright Program, and the American Institute of Sri Lankan Studies. She has received grants from NYFA and the Siskind Foundation and has had fellowships at Yaddo and MacDowell, along with other artist residencies, including Three Shadows in Beijing. Her photographs have appeared in Shots, The New Yorker, Newsweek, Photographers International and The New York Times, and she is a contributor to the new Trans-Asia Photography Review.
