Carissa Pelleteir Carissa Pelleteri’s photographs reflect her fondest memories of the past: the innocence of the school girl and her older generation mixed with a contemporary street sense. A Brooklyn native, Carissa began looking at magazines at the age of 8 and that was the beginning of a life-long fascination with photography. Her magazine collection started in 1983. She first picked up a camera around the age of 10, to document and play with images of her world. Currently, she is shooting editorial assignments for magazines including JNC of Germany, Auto Pilot of Moscow BlackBook Bust Giant, Trace, K48 and The Pop Manifesto. Her work has been shown in galleries such as Deitch Projects, D’Amelio Terras, and Agnes B Gallery, Galerie du Jour Paris.
